Very impressive!

All of my life I've done art, usually sketching or drawing. Painting was something dabbled in from time to time. So when I look at the world around me, I see it in shapes to outlined and details to be drawn in. Values were something to be added to create depth to a drawing.

Since I've been focussed on painting the past two months, that perspective has changed. Suddenly I'm seeing my surroundings as areas of value/color and their relationships to one another! It's like having lived with poor vision all of my life and suddenly, for the first time, getting a pair of glasses and everything is now in focus!

So the areas of value you've used to create this image really stand out to me now!

That is incredible. There's so much detail in his expression. I like how you can't really see his eyes because they're too hollow, adds a creepy effect to it. Wonderful work!
